CALORIES, PORTION CONTROL AND RESULTS 💪🏼
I've been doing the final edit of my new book, The 4 Week Body Blitz (link in bio☝🏼) today and it got me thinking about a point I make (repeatedly 💁🏼) in the book...
Eating #clean gets a lot of heat because you can eat #clean and still gain #weight.
You can eat "dirty" and still lose #weight.
Because it all comes down to #calories.
Calories in (food) V calories out (survival+activity level).
I'm a big advocate of a #clean AND #calorie conscious #diet.
If you can nail both, not only will you get those desired RESULTS, but you can eat a lot of good food throughout the day, feel full, feel good, and get HEALTHY.
But Portion control really is KEY 🔑
Above is an example of WHY I repeatedly say in my book to FOLLOW MY RECIPES TO THE LETTER...
1 level TBS (15g) of #almond butter has 98 calories.
I have it before bed and it nicely rounds off my caloric intake for the day.
1 heaped TBS (30g) of almond #butter has 195 calories and will push me UP from my calorie defecit (aka my guaranteed results) INTO my maintenance (aka no progress).
The point of this post is that while I LOVE A good clean #diet, it will get you nowhere if you overeat.
