Attention Cal State Northridge!! Did y'all know this is the only cal state in California that has section F in the curriculum which is ethnic studies/cross cultural studies, this include chicanx studies, African American studies, Asian American studies, Native American, gender woman studies, queer studies? All other cal states were ordered to take this section out & they complied with those orders. Cal State Northridge students did not & have been protesting on this executive order named 1100r and 1110. This executive order is trying to diminish ethnic studies & white wash out history, basically kicking out people of color because majority of the students taking these classes are of color. The students are reaching out to everybody that can help to spread the word. They are asking us as a community to keep our history alive, to educate others on it & keep our legacy; this goes back to the 1930’s with the lemon grove incident and the 1960’s with the Chicano movement walkouts, as well as the farmers movement. The students are starting THEIR own movement in hopes that they are heard globally around the world because they do not want our history erased! Students are having a protest/walkout on Thursday Sept 27th on campus & are hoping to receive the support from thousands of students, faculty, & community. The campus president has made a point to misconstrue facts & accept accountability, slandering the students using rumors this protest is going to be violent, even threatening to have police, dogs, & helicopters surrounding unarmed students & civilians. For protection media will be present. Any support is appreciated.
