36 hours ago: 38,000' above Canada once again. i can't say i am ever really affected by jet lag, but British Airways pilot Mark Vanhoenacker (author of the must-read book Skyfaring: a Journey with a Pilot) put forth the idea of the impact of "place lag." one minute, i'm eating ramen in Tokyo. a half day later, i'm eating take out and reconciling the idea that i am back home after an epic 5 day stint. place lag always seems to linger, but in my experience that's a good thing.
