Tag a friend who eats these! I used to be a Girl Scout and if I knew what I know now about food and nutrition, I would have boycotted selling them until the ingredients changed. Although cookies aren't meant to be healthy, they put some of the worst of the worst ingredients in their cookies. For instance, there are 4 different types of caramel color used by the food industry, and Class IV caramel color is the type added to Thin Mints. Class IV caramel color is made from ammonia and contains the byproduct 4-MEI, a known cancer risk. This is one risky ingredient that is unnecessary in a cookie that should already be naturally brown from the cocoa powder, and can be either replaced with a safer color or removed completely!
