As we move through life, there might be many things around us that we don’t understand, would do differently, or straight up disagree with. These different ways of thinking and viewing the world have the power to disconnect us from those people and moments that don’t make sense to us.
Practicing acceptance can start enabling us to “see” different possibilities and perspectives. With people, it might cultivate empathy and a greater closeness to them. In particular situations that we just don’t understand or aren’t going “our way”, it can allow for a softening towards the present moment and an oppress towards other options.
This week, practice accepting varying factors around you - rather than resisting or opposing - and try to notice what it does to you in those moments.
