Train to improve your worst day.
Something I have begun to really appreciate is tracking the progress on your worst day. We all want those huge, perfect day PRs, but when you come to the gym, feeling like wet garbage, yet, you hit a weight that was your max over a year ago for reps - let's recognize it.
I remember when a 185kg bench took 12 weeks to peak for, now even on my worst day, I can work with it. That is such an important milestone for all of us to keep in mind(not mine specifically - yours!) I challenge you all to look back at those weights that scared you, or your first big goal, now tell me if you are doing that on your worst day. Being strong on the platform is amazing and our main focus, but being stronger than your previous self on your worst day is incredible.
