My weekly throwback Thursday selfie takes me back to August 2010 when I went to Katmai National Park in Alaska's remote southwest. This experience impacted me in a way that I cannot describe.. It is perhaps the most memorable experience of any. I went to photograph the Alaskan Brown Bears who live a rich and abundant life here. During this time there was a Silver Salmon ( Coho) run and the Bears were indulging in quite the feast.
Bear of The Day<3 OH PLEASE SHARE These to sibling Brown Bears stuck close to one another on the Alaskan coast and one definitely knew how to acquire dinner, while the other would hope for a SHARE. ha ha speaking of sharing thanks to all the people joining this page and being so kind to SHARE my work. It so appreciated . . . . . .
Alaska is still tugging at my heart strings, my friends hosted me on the second leg of my trip to Alaska and I had such a nice time. They took me out to see the beautiful area they live in. Donna and Chris I miss it! Pioneer Peak, Palmer Alaska — with Chris and Donna.
Bear of The Day I was thrilled that some of my bear pics had some fun landscape textures as well, this brown bear swam the river and then got back up on the shore line. My trip to Alaska and Lake Clark National Park is in my soul for sure. I am still so in awe of all the Bears I actually did get to spend time with on my trip.
