On Tuesday, My friend Kehinde Olagbenjo @greatkennyjo told me about the exciting experience he had while watching Alakada Reloaded at the cinema. He shared with me his favorite scenes in the movie saying it made him laugh and made his day.
In the same vein, I woke up today reading on a news portal that the Toyin Abraham @toyin_abraham produced movie has raked in 25million in just 3 days according to reports. Its am amazing marketing success no doubts and It is worth using as a case study. The film was released in the cinemas last week Friday, May 26th and has been named one of the movies in the current top five releases of 2017. So what marketing lessons can small business owners, entrepreneurs and business minded individuals learn from this marketing success story?
1. Engagement is key
Toyin Abraham and her team did a wonderful job with creating an engaging conversation on social media about the movie even before it was released. They were able to win the hearts of her fans before they eventually viewed the flick in the cinemas.
