#wip of Aishwarya. Almost 80 hours in so far and 7 pens drained (plenty of hair to shade 😫).
For now I'm just creating the hair layers and darkening the shadowy parts, I'll refine the hair and add the strands later so it looks like the top part (Look at how tiny my pen is compared to the drawing 😂).
Tip:- if you look at the previous posts and check out the eyes and the lips, you'll see that they are a lot darker there and have brightened up in this post. I have explained why this happens before, but a little reminder won't hurt.
The reasoning behind it is that when a darker tone (hair and background in this case) come into play, the lighter tones that were previously dark would suddenly brighten up. (This is your eyes playing tricks as it tries to process the information by adjusting the image to what is close to realism. As an artist, it is your job to trick the human eyes and keep adjusting these tones as the drawing progresses to get the best out of your art 😁.
