I'm posting this as an informative critique to all entrepreneurs or owners. If you're having your basement subfloor insulated, remove everything laying on the gravel prior to the arrival of the insulation company. The result of not doing so will result like the picture above. Sorry about my little rant but it helps me vent.. ✌🏻
#Repost@toolaholic ♻️🤝👍 ・・・ This roof had absolutely terrible insulation coverage before, which explained why it was so cold inside.
We want to correct that for good, so we are insulating with a hybrid system. @thesprayfoamguy will lay out just over 2" of closed cell @demilec_inc over the backside of the drywall to act as our air and vapour barrier.
We will then top up with blown in to get us beyond r50. The main issue here is we need to spray the corners first due to the low slope of the rafters.
Ive shot down the sheathing with scrails from @fascoamerica that allow me to remove the corners when we start foaming. I can use the same scrails as soon as the corners are filled. These are actually 33* and not 30 as stated in the video.
These fit in any standard 31-34* collated angle strip nailer.
