I may not have my backsplash up or hardware on my doors or lighting hung, but my Montauk quartz countertops by @hanstoneca are in and I am in love!
I struggled for awhile with what countertop material to choose - battling between trying to keep the costs low and the look high end. I was originally considering butcher block, but while affordable, it is a high maintenance product with too many opportunities for bacteria to form if not properly cared for, especially around the sink. Although quartz material costs a bit more, I know that it will stand the test of time, therefore actually SAVING me money in the long run. It's easy for renters to keep clean, is resistant to scratching and heat damage, and frankly, looks bomb dot com. This is the product I would choose for my every day home, so I chose it for my vacation property. @Hanstoneca's products are also eco friendly and Canadian made, which I love. .
I feel that choosing quartz will contribute to an elevated experience for my renters. Most of the cottages in the area don't offer high end finishes, and it is my hope that the renters will appreciate these little touches and keep coming back again and again! Comment below and tell me what kind of upgrades YOU look for when booking a vacation home!
