Being completely honest: doing what makes me happy vs. letting toxic situations control my life
I know our society sees stress eating as an unhealthy process but loss of appetite can also lead to severe health issues. (I’m not talking about bulimia or anorexia which usually occur when someone desires to be thinner. I am referring to weight loss due to stress.) About 6 months ago, I went through the most traumatic experiences of my life. As my stress increased, my appetite decreased. I just wasn’t hungry. I didn’t even notice until my mom pointed it out (mother knows best) and my pants started getting loose. Now I’m a lot happier and HUNGRIER lol
How’d I do it?
Well for one I had to want it for myself. I was fortunate enough to have a lot of support, but I was in denial and didn’t want to leave the stressful situations. When I decided I was worthy and deserved more than what I was accepting, things started to change.
If no one has told you, please understand that you are worthy and you deserve everything you’re working for. Listen to your body and at your own pace, make the necessary changes to improve.
P.s. The first photo is me recently directing a musical and the second photo is one of the first instances of me taking back control of my life.
