Happy 😬 CHEWS DAY 😬 This week, it’s all about COFFEEEEEEE ☕️😍 (liquid gold, beverage of the gods, etc). Coffee contains plenty of antioxidants (polyphenols) giving it powerful properties which may help reduce the risk of some cancers and Type 2 diabetes ☕️ Can help move along sluggish bowels by drawing water into the gut ☕️ And my personal favourite, due to its caffeine content, gives me the boost I need before the gym or a long afternoon of chart entries! ☕️ The research suggests “moderate consumption” is most beneficial when it comes to all of those antioxidants - less than 4 cups per day - but judge that for yourself, by keeping an eye on any increase in heart rate, the jitters, nervousness and irritability. ••• My top tips: ☕️ Watch what you add! If you can, try to have your coffee without added flavpurs and sugars. These are adding unnecessary calories to your day. ☕️ Have a coffee free day or weekend or week! You’ll notice the effects of caffeine much more when you go without for a couple of days. That being said. I’d struggle without my daily cup of joe. ☕️ Yuuuuummmmmm (that’s a tip, right?!
