Cheers to Friday and 420! 🍸Lately I have been researching CBD and all of it’s health and beauty benefits. We will have some great products coming to the store very soon! Here is some great info and insight from @babeandbeauty #repost👇🏼
Since today is 420 I figured it was the perfect time to talk about my absolute favorite oil for the skin - H E M P + C B D! There is a lot of confusion, stigma, and legalities surrounding this plant so here are the facts and skin benefits.
Cannabis is one large family of the cousin's hemp and marijuana. While they are both derived from cannabis, they are different strains. Anything marijuana-derived contains psychoactive properties like THC and is only legal in certain states. While anything hemp derived contains only trace amounts of THC and is legal nationwide.
Now the hemp family consists of hemp seed oil (hemp seeds) and cannabidiol better known as CBD (hemp flower). The marijuana family also produces CBD oil and studies have shown there is no difference benefit wise between hemp derived and marijuana-derived CBD. It’s more about the legalities.
So what are these skin benefits of hemp seed & CBD oil?
» Unbelievably anti-inflammatory and healing for acne, sensitive skin, rashes, rosacea eczema & psoriasis
» CBD is an antioxidant stronger than vitamin A, C & E which helps protect the skin from free radicals
» Encourages healing of the skin
» Helps with elasticity
» High in linoleic acid which keeps the skin supple
» Provides long-lasting moisture
» High in omegas 3 and 6
Over the years I have recommended hemp seed oil a countless number of times. Many people are so surprised with how one simple ingredient can be so healing and beneficial for the skin. Use as a face oil, face moisturizer, slather it on dry lips or scalp and just watch what happens. You can pick up a bottle at your local health food store, look for cold pressed and organic.
