"Who are you?" I used to hate answering this question. Too embarrassed to say I didn't know, I would respond with the whole, "well, I'm a wife, mom, homemaker, sister, friend.." routine. But it never seemed to cut it. They wanted me to go deep within, and find the me without the titles. I was so busy being everything to everyone else, I lost who I was.
This isn't about judgement...right or wrong, but about acknowledging the truth of who you are...your passions, your behaviors, your interests..etc. Digging deep, I actually learned some things about myself, and even had to admit some things that ppl would always say about me..like me being so sensitive..lol. Going down the list of who I am, I realized the dopeness that is me. It encouraged me to explore gifts and talents I had, which created pride in my undiscovered uniqueness. It helped me to see that we are bigger than the many hats we wear.
And so I ask YOU the age old question.. "Who are you?"
