Grungy 1920s for day 71 of #100daysofmakeup!
I kinda wanted to do my own take on some typical 20s makeup trends but give it a grungy twist. I did a droopy, heavy smokey eye while emphasising the inner socket line. I applied my blush in a rounded shape further down my face than usual and I exaggerated the points of my cupids bow. I also extended the point of my brows downward.
On the eyes I used @shirocosmetics 'It's a Misnomer!' on the inner socket, blending into 'Warboy', and with 'Nic Cage Raking Leaves on a Brisk October Afternoon' applied all over the lid. I darkened the lash line with a dark brown gel liner and used @maccosmetics 'Costa Riche' pencil in the waterline.
On my cheeks is @urbandecaycosmetics #afterglowblush in 'Bang', just the slightest dusting of bronzer, and some @nyxcosmetics 'Taupe' blush as contour.
My lipstick is the Sephora cream lip stain in no. 27 'Black Cherry'. I rarely wear this one because it makes me look kind of pale and washed out, which is perfect for a 20s look 😄
I had fun with this. I love the 1920s for fashion, art, music, and beauty... I am obsessed with the fashion in 'Chicago' the musical and 'Boardwalk Empire'. Love, love, love.
My necklace is vintage, it was my grandmother's... and although it is beautiful and sentimental, I always forget it's unplated nickel and I'm highly allergic. Womp womp. I hope you're having a great day! 😘
