I started my blog as an outlet. I was in a new city, just had my 2nd baby, and suffering from postpartum depression. I was lost in the trenches of motherhood and lost my identity.
Some moms do great bring completely submerged in #momlife. However, I don't. I've always needed to preserve a small piece of myself that was just for me. It helps me be a better mom. I needed something for myself outside of my kids.
It was around that time I started heavy lifting, and my life changed. I felt powerful and strong. Blogging and heavy lifting made me a better mom.
My goal was to heal myself of the pp depression, societal pressures that are place on moms, and toxic people.
I chronicle my journey through motherhood on my blog. It helps me and I hope it helps other moms. Even though motherhood can be isolating, I want other moms to know that they aren't alone.
