Nubiamancy is a social media platform that seeks the best in scifi/fantasy/horror content with a black/African flavour, in order to share it with a larger audience. It is for inspiring creativity, to showcase works based on African mysticism and alternative forms of Afrocentricity, and to promote creators who are spreading those sci-fi narratives through their creations.

Last, but definitely not least, in our #5womenartists of Women's History Month is @sysclark, a textile artist whose work focuses on race, class, and history. Her Afro Abe series was created after the election of Barack Obama. It reflects on the historical relationships between the presidency and African Americans, between Lincoln and the economics of slavery, and between Emancipation and the continued struggle for black liberation. Come see Afro Abe for yourself at #constructingidentity ! ⠀

This is the second drawing session I've done in my studio. I don't think I was as "on& #34; for this one but it has some nice areas. ...and yes I am aware of its compositional issues. Great model. Average drawing. We'll get 'em next time. Also, a bad day drawing is better than a good day doing most other things so I'm happy.
