As many animals now are at risk of extinction, it really struck me when Sudan, the only existing Northern white rhino, died.
If you think that our children, or the generation after might not see certain animals, and would be checking them out from school books like we did with dinosaurs, is horrifying.
Thankfully there are organisations, which help rehabilitate and protect animals from poaching or from particular circumstances.
In this case, I would like to address @africanwildlifefoundation , which specifically combats illegal wildlife trade (eg. Poaching for ivory).
Us as humans, sometimes think we cannot do enough unless we are there physically helping them, but even signing a petition can be beneficial for the future of our wildlife.
Hong Kong just agreed to ban poaching by 2021, however this will only increase it before the ban will be officially lifted.
Even a single contribution is important and might change the fate of these species.
You can help by supporting this cause, or other causes AWF or other organisations are supporting.
It doesn’t need to be about wildlife, as long as you believe in something, it will be a positive impact to the future of our planet.
