My name is Chijindu Amaliri Raymond, @ray_artsss an undergraduate of the Federal University Of Technology Owerri. I am a 21 year old hyperrealistic african artist from Nigeria..
It's an inborn gift, a talent but after a while I seriously got into the artworld and started developing myself from the year 2015. I started working with graphite pencils as my medium, but after a year I got into pen, I started working with pen, I felt more comfortable with pen so I've been working with ballpoint pen since then till date. My medium currently is ballpoint pen on paper/leather, so I've been a ballpoint pen artist for just 2 years.
I got into the artworld with this mentality of "just pick up a Pencil/pen and draw anything" not knowing it's way more than that, I got to understand that art is a voice we all need to listen to, it's a means of communication When the mouth can't speak, so I started working on myself, I had to change my mindset, I started doing a lot of research, read art articles, studied the works of artists that are already well known and recognized, I reached out to as many as possible, I started creating works that speaks, that talks about our daily life activities (ups and downs), I'm still on my way to achieving greater heights of being listened to as an African Artist but meanwhile the journey so far has been interesting, I faced so many challenges, and I'm still facing some.
But to y'all creatives out there, you're all special and never stop creating your voices need to be heard.
One love. .
