Happy Monday dancers! Here is some #advicefordancers from Kendra Slatt, "Stay organized! Not only do dancers need to be organized with all their performance gear for shows and competitions (which tights and accessories go with which costume, where did that tan jazz shoe get to, why can't I find my hairspray?!?!), but the number of hours dancers put into classes, rehearsals and performances means they have to be extra organized about school work and other family or extra-curricular activities as well. I recommend using some sort of planner and/or calendar to keep obligations organized and be able to see what's coming up in the next few days/weeks/months. Dancers with 3 or 4 hours of rehearsal on a Tuesday night know they can't leave the studying for their Wednesday Chem test to the last minute. If they have their dance schedule, school schedule and family commitments already mapped out, then when it comes time to audition for the school play or Spring sports team, they can take a realistic look at where conflicts might arise and whether or not adding the additional commitment is smart or doable."
