SAVE LEXUS! Public must #adopt or #foster this publicly adoptable dog BEFORE 12PM ET tomorrow 6-24-2017; otherwise she will be killed at #Manhattan Center.
LEXUS has EXCELLED in ALL evaluations and is rated for the AVERAGE dog owner!
My name is #LEXUS. My Animal ID #A1115066. I am a #spayed female br brindle and white am pit bull ter mix. The shelter thinks I am about 4 YEARS old. I came in the shelter as a OWNER SUR on 06/14/2017 due to EVICT. I came in with my brother #SCRAPPY (killed by NYC ACC) #A1115067. I am on the kill list due to KENNEL COUGH, which is a highly treatable dog cold and the shelter provides medication.
A volunteer writes: Lexus had it all…a family with #children of all ages, a doggy sibling, playtime with other #pooches in the park, fun with her family, a large yard to romp and sleep under the stars. Then her humans lost their home, and she lost her family. This is tough. Lexus was pretty confused when she arrived at the care center, but as the #good girl and the well brought up pet she is, she is slowly bouncing back on her feet. Lexus has been so well cared for. She is #gorgeous, well made, pristine in her perfectly groomed cream and cinnamon coat. She always holds herself so elegantly. She has a lot of class. Lexus walks very nicely on the #leash, does her business on the way (we are told that she is #housetrained), comes when called, sits on #command and absolutely loves treats that she takes very nicely from my hand. She started coming on the #lap and giving #kisses. She leans on her caretakers for bonding, and has a #lovely smile that she never enhance by lifting her ears. She meets properly with other #dogs in the street. Lexus came with wonderful comments from her former owners!
If seriously interested in adopting and can pick her up in-person within 48 hours, go to http://www.nycacc.org/publicatrisk.htm and click on "at risk" online or if seriously interested in #adopting or #fostering and either LOCAL to #NewYork or from NE US, email firstname.lastname@example.org and their volunteers will guide you through the process.
