DAY 1 Today is the day I started with my journey of becoming a trail runner. It's not like I'm running for the first time, I've been running off and on pretty much my whole life, but I've allways been running on roads or on stadiums or not at all. I hike a lot, but on my hikes I never run, I allways walk. So trail running is something new for me. And that is why I decided I'm going to share my journey on this profile. With all my ups and downs and everything in between.
So like every other person I needed motivation to kickstart my running. So I went to the store and bought myself some new running shoes. I bought a pair of #adidaskanadiatr8 becouse there not so expensive and there light and have a good grip. But motivation is not the only reason I bought them, I needed new running shoes anyway, so it's a win win situation. Or at least that is what I'm telling myself.
So I was ready too sees the day with my new shoes and matching outfit. But the moment I woke up and looked out the window all of my motivation went away. The whether was horrible, the rain was poring as hard ass it could and I really didn't want to go. All that went through my mind was that I don't want to be wet and I don't want to ruin my shoes. But than I thought: whay did I buy this shoes? For them to seat in the closet and look nice or too run in them. And that is all I needed. I dressed myself and went. I ran for 7 km and I didn't ran all the time when the heel got to steep I walked. I wasn't going to burn myself out on the first day, so I took it easy. But the first thing I noticed was that I wasent board. Becouse I needed to be concentrated on each and every step. And I like that a lot. The rain didn't boder me at all. And I enjoyed the run. So that is it for the first day it was good and I liked it. I'm gonna keep you posted on DAY 2 tomorrow.
