Felt a slight tweak in my quad again today while warming up on the hack squat so I stuck to just extensions and dumbell RDL’s..

I think a couple of factors are contributing to these recent mishaps..

1) rushed warm ups..
2) tight abductors / IT bands..
3) POSSIBLY muscle cramping/tightness from the weird form of creatine I ordered by mistake..

My plan for addressing these issues will be to..

1) see @the_green_center_for_massage asap..
2) increase my dynamic warmup time..
3) stick to normal creatine monohydrate like I typically would..

The Buy In.

The buy in is one of the most important aspects in making a dramatic body transformation. What I mean by buy in is the client believing and trusting the programme and sticking to it consistently. There are two major aspects that need to be taken care of to get this “buy in”.

1. Ownership of the plan.
.
A client needs to understand the “why” of a plan, there needs to be a reasoning of everything done and the client needs to understand this. Once they know why they are doing something and how it links to their goals, it becomes less of a chore to do it.
.
2. Get some results early on.
.
This is probably the most important, no matter how much a client understands the plan, if they are getting a few weeks in and not seeing results is a motivation killer and a client is more likely to go off track, getting some quick visual results is a sure fire way to get someone to buy into the plan long term.

We control portion size and amounts of protein in each meal to ensure she is still in a calorie deficit and getting adequate protein which in turn allows her more freedom with her cooking.

The biggest factor in fat loss is being in a calorie deficit CONSISTENTLY. It’s not always a 12 week transformation, sometimes it’s learning how to enjoy a healthier lifestyle in the long term.

About 10 months difference.
@the.lifting.ironleaf made some huge #sumodeadlift improvements. Same weight (85kg) but different #barspeed and programming (2 vs 4 × 3) to say the least. Furthermore she's 4 Kg lighter now. Looking forward to her full peaked potential.

💥”POTHOLE FIX” FOR YOUR FITNESS JOURNEY💥

I did a post about a week ago about a lot of people approach their health and fitness journey like Chicago approaches their pot hole problem.

Most of the time the solution is a quick fix.
-
In my example above it’s an extreme and unsustainable fix. I’ve seen this exact plan go bad many times.
-
I’ve never met anyone that has said “I’d like to lose 10 lbs just to see how it feels and then I’m good with regaining it all back”.
-
Most people want to achieve the goal and maintain it.
-
Yet they choose the quick fix or what they believe will be the quick fix.
-
The truth is people will need to invest time and attention (NOT MONEY) into learning or unlearning things that are detrimental to them achieving their goal.
-
Additionally, what they should choose should prioritize there ability to consistently execute (adherence) over and extended period of time (sustainability).
-
Not that sexy right?

So my solution is to:
1️⃣: Consider your schedule. You don’t need to spend hours in the gym or participating in a form of movement you enjoy. Move intentionally when it works best with your schedule (oh and trust me, you’ve got time)
2️⃣: Consider your current abilities. You don’t need to run, jump and throw iron around. You can surely work your way up to those things. Start where you are performing things that may interest you and you feel confident performing.
3️⃣: Similar to above. Maybe you’ve always wanted to do a group ex class or you really like lifting weights. Whatever it may be do it.
