In commemoration to the Share-a-Story month of May FYM have started 'Artists' Voices', a platform for any artists within the creative industry who use their work to raise awareness for issues of injustice and/or give a voice to the underrepresented. These creatives will be able to showcase their work and message through us, helping to bring together artists who want to make a better world.
Our first artist's voice featured is @conradomuluc. Conrado Muluc is a latinx poet, emcee and photographer from the DMV area. His music and photography focuses on documenting the issues that affect marginalized communities. He is currently working on his debut Hip Hop project, Know The Ledge.
He says: "My work documents my surroundings from immigrant rights protests to everyday people I see in my community. I noticed that a lot of what is photographed and talked about is usually not true to the reality that black and brown communities face everyday. Their voices are seldom heard so I feel it's my duty to use my art to tell these stories, with poetry, Hip Hop, and photography."
Go to our website (link in bio), under Spotlight- Artists' Voices, to see Conrado's story and more photography. Also, check out his recent music releases @conradomuluc
