🍷 night Sunday! As I pose with one of the bar keeps, Ana: A quick story.
It was the Summer of 2003 and I was 39 years of age. 7 years of living in LA under my belt....working a regular job, lots of community theater, acting classes, and student films, 2 game shows, my Lakers didn't get their 4-peat. However, ZERO major gigs. So I decided it was time to pack and move to the Pacific Northwest.... UNTIL...an audition for SOLDIER'S PLAY interrupted my plans. Ok...one more play couldn't hurt, I said to myself. It turned into one of the best theatrical experience of my life on so many levels... including most of the cast have become the best of friends. So I decided to stick around one more year. Fast forward to March 2004.... I book my first TV gig with NO Agent just a cellphone, pager, landline phone, and was called in by a Casting Director who FOUND an old headshot I dropped off FOUR years earlier. I got to work with two TV legends... unfortunately the third one had died a few months earlier. Best early 40th birthday present ever!!! Since then the last 14 years have been totally awesome. Moral of the story....HANG IN THERE! You never know what's around the corner!
