Fighting off the blues of a cold with my Purple smoothie full of goodies.. Blueberries, pre blanched then frozen kale (kale is a cruciferous vegetable and needs to be at least lightly cooked or can slow down your thyroid), banana, cold and flu honey, cinnamon stick, 2 big spoons of flax seed, big spoon kapai puku and topped up with almond milk.. normally would also stick ginger and protein powder in but forgot this morning 😜...complete with #dopey_face

There aren’t many things in life you can’t change, things that come to mind include -height, family, heritage, and other people who don’t want to change. But everything else LITERALLY everything else (or seemingly) can be changed.

The kicker is you have to WANT to change it. You have to feel so passionately about it that staying where you are isn’t an option.

You want better health? Commit to it. Don’t make excuses and bullshit yourself. Do something about it. Want to be more successful and make more money? Same thing. DO SOMETHING. •
The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. WHY DO WE DO THAT?!?!? •
Because it’s easy. Because until we are faced with something that we cannot accept we don’t possess the ability to make the change and stick with it.

So please, accept those things in life you cannot change. We all have them, and once recognized they might become the push you need to make change. But for all the things #allthethings that you can change and refuse to accept. Get.After.It.

When it comes to team sports we take the route of letting our kiddos pick what they want to play. •
I played softball for a LONG time, and for my spouse his sport was hockey. While both of us would love to see our kids take interest in either (or both) we haven’t pushed an agenda.

Currently Miss A has gotten back into soccer and really wants to play goalie. Not sure why, but the why doesn’t matter if it gets her jazzed to play. •
Per her request daddy spends extra time practicing and coaching to the extend he can get away with and I encourage and practice when possible.

I don’t care what my kids want to go after as long as it’s beneficial to their body, mind and character development. I love watching both kiddos achieving their own awesome each day.

On weekends we ride! At least when we aren’t afraid of getting blown away 😬

Asking myself this very question as I update programs for my distance coaching clients.

What is THEIR goal? What do THEY need in order to achieve that goal? How do I coach what is needed while still also giving them some of what they want?

There’s always method to a coach’s madness. Next time you’re going through your session ask your coach WHY you’re doing something and see what kind of response you get.

I love when I get to coach-in-person my distance clients. Not always something I’m lucky enough to do but today was a good day.

Never forget- your kids hear you. You may not think so because it never seems like they hear what you want them to, but they hear you. Kids as a whole, but especially our daughters. •
Be kind to yourself mama, teach your babies that the only opinion that matters is their own. Embrace your body, flaws and all and let your kiddos see that there is beauty in being authentic and real.

Embrace your story, be the example, and have fun in the process.
