Body confidence is so much more than how your body looks, how much you weigh, or the clothes you wear. You see all these photos that I post now on IG wearing sports-bras and tights / shorts, but for the longest time I didn't have the confidence to wear these in the gym. I would always wear a baggy top and long pants no matter how hot it got because I was scared people would judge the fat rolls around my belly, the cellulite on my thighs, the flat booty I was so self-conscious about, and the abs and curves that I didn't have. Everytime I saw a girl working out in a sports-bra / tight shorts, looking completely comfortable in their own skin I thought to myself I could never be like that. At one point, I actually put "workout in a sports bra" as one of my goal for the year. I thought maybe if I lose enough weight I would look good enough to wear all these beautiful workout clothes. I didn't realize at the time weight loss is not the solution to self love and body confidence. I lost the weight but I was still unhappy about the way I looked. This mindset is not going to change overnight. Take it step by step, you will not LOVE your body all of a sudden but learn to embrace it a little more everyday, remind yourself that as human beings we all have flaws and our imperfections make us the individuals that we are. Eat responsibly, train hard - to take care of your body but not because you hate it. This is the only body you will ever have, so own it and be your own kind of beautiful❤
