If a teenage peasant girl from the 15th century can lead an army of men and be burned at the stake, fighting for what she believes in, maybe we can step out of our comfort zones a little bit and speak up. Or if a young Pakistani girl can be shot in the head, recover and come back fighting for women’s education in her country, then maybe we can find an ounce of courage to speak up for what is right, for what we believe in. It doesn’t take much, just a small step outside our comfort zone is a start. We live shrouded in fear, and that fear keeps us under the control of the powers that be. It’s time for change. Don’t be afraid, you were born to do this.
