Want in on a secret???
I got injured.
I mean YOGA is healing, right? And empowering! And enlightening!
Well, call me a I suppose.
Last week I was filming video & taking pics for .. & maybe I overdid the Low Lunge with a Thigh Stretch.
Is 58 pics + 8 videos ‘overdid’ ???
So I should hate on yoga, right? Or at least that pose? Bad bad bad!
PLUS I should hate on myself - perfectionist, obsessionist, overdoitist!
OR I could use the mindfulness that my years on the mat have garnered me ..
And understand & SEE & be here now. In the mess I made.
And realize that YOGA is not bad & I am not bad.
But I made a bad decision & my body is merely reflecting that.
And the swelling (seriously an elephant knee) & pain are opportunities to SEE.
My teacher told me (over & over) ‘no effort is wasted’. In other words - everything everything can be used as spark for growth. The mistakes, missteps, mishaps .. even them.
THIS is an examined life.
This is YOGA.
