The 3A-E1L in black foil X-PAC was an Acronym web exclusive released late 2015. It is lightweight and versatile - great for organizing cables, documents, snacks, etc. inside my 3A-1 or 6TS when I'm traveling.
As a bonus, it has developed a unique metallic patina. I wasn't sure how it would look broken in, but seeing it now, I guess it looks exactly like one would expect. And that is a good thing because it's badass. Highly reflective in direct light, yet almost black at other angles. The fabric has also lost its stiffness, feeling like space age paper in hand.
At the time of purchase I didn't think I would be carrying it that often, and wanted it mostly because the material was fucking cool. However, by the time I appreciated the utility of the pouch and wanted another, both the foil and L2 iteration were long gone. After searching for something with similar characteristics, and coming up with an excuse to cop, I landed on the @sdrtraveller Utility Pouch. Like the 3A-E1L, it is lightweight, and the coated Dyneema should patina well with age. It also comes with a water resistant zipper, and coupled with Dyneema's own beading powers, will offer some peace of mind when the ground gets wet.
