We are now on day 27 of our Achieva plank challenge which is now up to 4 mins!
I had a chance this morning before Pilates to film my 4 minute plank. I did it time-lapse so it's about 16 seconds!
I can't stay in one position as too much for my shoulders, so I'm adapting with side plank variation during the 4 minutes. You can also see my form dropping towards the end.
Lots of our students are still in the challenge. Can we get up to 5 minutes by day 30! Let's see this week.

This week sees Achieva Pilates & Fitness celebrate our 3rd birthday! 2014 - 2017! 🎉🍾🎉🍾❤️🎉😍 When we launched our Pilates classes in June 2014 it was just me teaching 2 Pilates classes a week. Over the last 3 years we have grown and evolved with our biggest growth in late summer 2016.
We are now teaching 14 classes per week, 6 days a week with a fantastic team of 5 amazing instructors.
As a team we now offer 6 different fitness formats. Clubbercise, Dance Fit, Zumba, HiiT, PiYo and Pilates.
I am so lucky to work with our incredibly talented instructor team of Amy, Carla, Claire & Nikki. It's an honour to work alongside our fantastic and fun team.
A huge thank you to all our friends, family and students for supporting Achieva and all that we do. We love bringing fitness to our community and hope to bring you lots more fun, fitness and variety in the future.

A truly magic Monday for me today. As a fit pro I have to make time for my own training. Managed to rejig my day so chores done before school run. Then amazing hot yoga followed by 5k run and some weights. Still also doing the plank challenge which is now up to a minute. My goal now over the next few months is to get my 5k completed in under 30 minutes. Can it be done?! I haven't managed it since 2004!! I'm loving this plank challenge. We are now up to 60 seconds and tons of our students have joined this challenge. Today I was beyond happy when my fab student Fi offered to try a stacked plank with me. I've always wanted to try it and today we did it! We did not hold this stack for 60 seconds, more like 15, but it was still fab and I'm so happy I got the chance to do it. Looking forward to Dance Fit this morning. When I launched Dance Fit in Sep16 I was nervous creating my own routines. Fast forward 8 months and it has become one of our most popular classes. I love creating my own choreography and working on my strength training routines. Thursday are fast becoming crazy Thursdays! Theo at tennis at 7.45am before school, Marci in with a friend. 8.45am rush to school with Theo and then straight to teach my fav PiYo. Quick stop at the docs then onto MOT Ronnie the Rav for the final time (please pass it!). Decided to go for a run and managed 6k in 40 mins in my new Asics while waiting for MOT. Now refuelling with a ridiculously large latte. Undoing lots of my hard work but sometimes it just has to be done!! Now for round 2 of activities getting Marci to gym by 4pm and Theo back to tennis at 4.30pm. Wouldn't have it any other way. Love my Fit famalam. My mix of up April is coming along. PiYo this morning and then managed a cheeky short run in the sun. I'm so pleased I got my Fitbit as it's helped me so much to keep track of what I'm achieving each day. Jumping for joy for my first longer run in many years. I think it was around 4K and took me 40 minutes. I run slowly!
First half was fab then I got tired and had to dig deep just to get home. Running is not my forte but I'm determined to keep going. Hoping for one more run this week in between classes. Early morning pink sky to match my pink trainers. I have one more run to go tomorrow morning which then complete my little 2 week early morning challenge I set myself whilst the children are off school. I've really enjoyed myself and time to clear my head first thing so I'll continue 2 runs a week early mornings over the next few weeks.
Hoping for a longer run tomorrow as it's a bank holiday and hubs won't be rushing off to work so early!

Stepping into a brand new week. Day 8 on my healthy journey. Had to up my game at 6.15am. I was running a few mins late and I knew I had 15 mins to run before hubs went to work.
So I ran my usual route route 2 minutes quicker which was hard for me! Ha ha!
Feeling positive for the week ahead. Aiming for another week of short runs before the children wake up!

After a great but long day out with the children I'm not going to derail myself today. Although after a long drive to Warwick Castle and back I wanted a takeaway I've made myself a chicken spinach and tomato salad. As I did enjoy lunch out at the castle. Looking forward to my week 2 of my healthy journey. It's take your children to work morning!! My hubby is on a 12 hour shift so I have both children at work with me this morning, then whizzing straight up to gym for my daughters Saturday training and then hoping to get out with my son later to practice some tennis. Day 5 of my healthy journey. I set myself the goal of running 5 mornings this week whilst my children are off school for Easter hols. I have a short window of time until 6.30am when hubs has to go to work. So this week I've got up (or more realistically dragged myself up) at 5.45am and have gone for a short run so I'm back home at 6.30am.
The length of the runs and the times are not important right now. What matters to me is that I got out there and did it. I then followed up at home with a short 5-10 min home workout varying from HiiT to PiYo and also yoga.
Also really focused on nutrition this week which is harder for me when children at home as all they want to do is eat!! (What is that all about!) These runs have been in addition to the classes I have taught this week. As a fitness instructor my body is used to teaching 8 classes a week so to see any change I have to mix up my workouts and add in some variety.
And of course nutrition has to be good!
Teaching PiYo and Dance Fit Saturday morning and then aiming for an hour of yoga at home on Sunday. Really missing hot yoga but can't get to class when children are off school.
