#corbylees2 - 😔😢😠 Rest in Peace, Carly. Your story has left animal lovers all over with very shattered hearts. Carly was brought in to the ACCT PHILLY shelter on 3/16. She had a terrible wound on her upper arm/shoulder, and she was scared and alone. Her eyes looked like they were just pleading for help. Her stray hold was up on 3/18 and she was euthanized on 3/19 with no promotion to rescues and with no warning. When a rescue found out about her, they expressed interest in saving her, but she lost her young life anyway. You deserved to have a family to be with and a nice comfy couch to lay on, with all the toys in the world. You deserved to be happy and running in the sunshine. Your life mattered and it should have been cherished. When you ended up at a shelter as a stray, you should have been given a chance. Someone would have been so proud to call you theirs, bragging about how they had the best dog who they could have never imagined their life without. But, now they'll never have the chance because you never had a chance. We are so sorry this was how your story ended. So many people tried to help you and we are just so sorry that it was not enough.
Rest in Peace Carly. You were beautiful & you mattered.
