This week's "What Your Business Accountant Wishes You Knew" features Jennifer Soyama, Co-founder of My Virtual Bookkeepers. "Be Realistic: We are not miracle workers. Set realistic goals for having your tax returns and other projects completed. And if we give you a 2 week deadline, but you take 10 days to provide the necessary data and documents, don't expect it all done in the next 4 days.
Stay Organized: Have all of your financial data and documents organized and ready for tax season, and other financial appointments. It doesn't matter if you outsource your bookkeeping, have an onsite team working on it or are doing it on your own. Just have it done right!
Ask Questions: There's no such thing as dumb questions. If you're not sure - ask, but focus on staying outcome focused. We're not here to teach you how to do our job (unless you're enrolled in a Financial Coaching program, that is). You'll save yourself from many headaches and added fees by communicating with us.
We're Here to Help: Your accountant is an important resource for your business. Sure, we don't make the laws, but we are here to help comply and provide savings where possible." -Jennifer
