Getting ready for the outdoor climbing season, but not only the body needs training, I keep repeating myself:
"Fear is an important guest, and as any other important guest, I cannot receive him without preparing myself first. I should not fear him, I have to accept him as a friend looking out for me, reminding me to keep the focus on things. Fear should be a force making me go through, funneling my energy, my focus, and all my strenght in that single move, that brief instant, and at the same time making me keeping in mind the whole, getting me ready to face the next move. If I'll be worning out, I'll find a way to rest, if not I'll keep going until I'll find a point where to rest or fall. My movements will be clean, my hands will follow my feet and my feet will follow my hands, but my mind will always be focused on the next move and the ones after that one.
I will not fear falling, that's not the end, that's not a defeat, but it's symbol of commitment. It will reveal that I believed in it. Falling will be an occasion to show myself I believed in it, falling will be a second chance to face that movement, that line I know I can send! "
