Ready for a great set of oblique exercises to help work those side muscles in your stomach? 🔥On my Facebook page (www.facebook.com/jessrunsblessed and blog www.jessrunsblessed.com) is the full video of this morning's medicine ball oblique ab workout!!! The whole thing takes less than 10 minutes and is a sure fire way to help give those abs a killer workout!!! All you need is a medicine ball and a mat! (Notice I'm not guaranteeing that these exercises will help shed fat or lose inches because that's fiction, people). Weight training can build muscle and boost metabolism but the only thing that's going to help burn fat is calorie expenditure - input < output. 👍👍👍 Nevertheless, love me some ab workouts! I used the 5 second rule again to get my bootay up and in the garage early- loving how it is working out...... I love working out in the morning- I feel that it pumps those endorphins and since my mood for the day- and Lord knows I need to start today good so my ITCHINESS doesn't come out 🤣🤣

MOST RECENT

🔹I personally do a lot of high intensity workouts, and that's just because that fits into MY personal fitness goals right now. I also rely on that instant endorphin rush it provides me. However, that does not mean you cannot get results with low impact exercises! 🔹My SI joint likes to act up sometimes and causes me to be in a decent amount of pain in my hip and lower back. I was NOT about to be jumping around with Shaun T as I was feeling that this morning. 🔹I love having the option with choosing any workout style I want depending on the day and my mood. 🔹Before these programs? I totally would have skipped doing anything today because "I wasn't feeling up to it." But with a program that combines Pilates, yoga, and strengthening all in one that is very low impact, it's got me feeling more loosened up while still energized for the day🔥💪🏽

I'm starting to get mildly annoyed with social media and those that only post the highlight reel. People get such a warped perception of success because that's all that's ever posted on social media. What doesn't get posted is all the failures and the struggles that had to happen in order to achieve that success. I like to bring light to the ugly, just as often as I bring light to the beautiful. Ab work: I don't train abs very much. Maybe 5-10 minutes 3x a week. I definitely don't devote a whole day to them, but here are a few of my favorite exercises for dem abbies 💪🏼 *again these clips are sped up. These exercises are to be done slow, controlled, pulling the belly button towards the spine. Enjoy 🤗

FYI for anyone curious about tracking macros and how things factor in. The only other thing I pay close attention to outside of Fats, Carbs, and Pro, is my sugar intake. Don't starve and bore yourself with bland foods. Balance and moderation. 💪💪💪

Little bit of baby transition work after @fadesepia 's class tonight at A Peace of Space studio in Taftville. Feeling shaky, definitely out of my normal yoga flow (lol). Crow to tripod, and then accepting that I had already done a full class and should probably stop. This entire video was roughly 2.5 minutes, sped up for fun.

Before this contest, my starting weight was 143. Stepping on the scale for weigh ins the day before the show, I was at 122 with 9% body fat. My 2 hours of cardio stopped on the Thursday before the show, along with my water intake, in which I was taking 4 water pills a day, with still 6 meals of veggies & tilapia. Every Coach is different, every athlete is different, every body is different, & every mind is different. That's what makes figure, bikini, &body building such a 'sculpting' art form is the dedication & stategies you put behind it to get the results in your physique. After experiencing the process, I've gained a huge amount of respect for those who compete year-round.
I've been asked when my next show will be, but as much as I learned, the discipline & routines I gained, the amazing people I've met, the overall experience, I have to admit this art form is not for me. I've always been a mind over body person, & that had to be my biggest struggle trying to maintain that balance. Between the dieting, meal prepping, cardio, work, cravings, posing classes, & weight sessions, this was the toughest event I've yet to sign up for. Second biggest obstacle was trying to explain to my Dad what I was doing up on stage so he could come and support me.

I was murdered by a dumbbell and burpee push-up circuit. 3 rounds. Ab work immediately after. I am a gluten for punishment. Oh and the deadlifts before the circuit. I need to lose 10 pounds I said.
