We did an interview/shoot with @absolutuk ahead of the #AlternateCuts party with @resident_advisor tomorrow night.
As you can see we are both clearly concerned about the tables breaking (and also wearing matching Adidas again 🙄) “We’re Natasha and Steffi, a dj duo playing under the guise of Blasha & Allatt. Alongside the deejaying we run Manchester based techno party @meatfreemcr where our main role is curating the line-ups.
We’d both been deejaying separately for 18 months before we started playing together around 6 years ago. As with every discipline, there are many hurdles and its definitely been challenging trying to merge our two styles, however over the last 18 months we really feel like things have started to come together and we’ve found a formula that works.
With Meat Free gaining momentum year on year, we’ve been blessed with an opportunity to showcase our sound; whether this is a warm up or closing set. This platform has been integral to how we’ve developed as DJ’s. Back in October 2016, we were invited to play on @bensimsofficial & @kirkdegiorgio_official ‘s Machine Boiler Room. We’ve had lots of brilliant opportunities but this really helped us get to the point we’re at now and we are really grateful.
Our next Meat Free party will be on the 20th April at Soup Kitchen. We are really excited to have Ostgut ton affiliate Steffi join us for the third time. A few days later on the 25th April we are returning to Soup Kitchen and teaming up with @resident_advisor as part of their Alternate Cuts series. Meat Free will be hosting the Manchester leg of the tour with Donato Dozzy and we’ll be warming up for the man himself” 📷 @craigobernard
