Hope y’all had a great Saturday! I sure as sh*t did! Went to @concord_crossfit this am to do a kill-or-be-killed #wod programmed by yours truly WITH a stamp of approval and row addition from @barbellbabebri !!! Yayer!!! I was going to stretch and maybe do some abs, but I thought #butdidyoudie last night? Umm no. So I put together this little thing and talked @teresap8435 and @lanita565 in to join me 😊 There were 3 parts, and I completed everything #rx . First, 30min #emom : min1- 10 #db #cleanjerk W/ 35lb (5ea arm). min2- 15 #abmatsitups ... min3- #kneestochest . Then we did 8x8x8x8 couplet : #ringrows with a box and #barbellrows on a #ghd with 75lb. #spicyaf And my shoulders were on 🔥! Finished with the wod with a #ballbuster for time: 50-40-30-20-10 #assaultbike and #masontwists (#russiantwists )w/ 20lb #medball ... 🔥🔥🔥 No, I did not die 😂, but boy... did I think I was gonna pass the F out for a minute? I sure did. Took me 15:09min and I was super pooped after. #deadlegs #allthethings are sore 😆. Of course added my PT exercises at the end. Gotta make sure that leg is getting stronger!!!! I’m super happy about the work I put in today, and the #allout Effort. Knee is doing better - still super tight and swollen BUT it’s improving! Thursday came and went. Did two #wods again yay! My knee is getting better and my range of motion is improving. I’m predicting that next Friday I get cleared to do some exciting things by my PT! But my post-op doc appointment is on Monday soooo I may be able to push things a bit more! Ha! Silly excited! 😆 So yeah...not sure if it’s just me, but pain makes me happy. Usually something cool happens when I push just a tad more over that pain threshold ... Today it was a super minor thing... I basically did 10 RDS of 10 #pushups (unbroken) ... I know it’s silly to most, but just a few short months ago - I was unable to do a single one. Like for real - not one! I couldn’t have gotten here without super supportive peeps at my box and brilliant daily ass whooping by @barbellbabebri 😊. #thankyoubabyjesus she’s got the patience to deal with my I wanna do #allthethings ass 😂 We modified my #wod again. Started with 2RM #benchpress and I got to 135lbs. Then #metcon was 20min : 1min work/1 min rest. #amrap 5 #ringrows 10 #pushups 15 #kettlebellswings - I got thru 10 RDS+17. Second hour was more cardio, which was awesome! @meganglick did this with me too! 5 RDS of: 20cal #assaultbike 15 #abmatsitups and 10 #dbcleanandjerk w/ 35lbs ... then I did 5x5 #eccentric #pullups and that was the hardest thing ever!! But this is the goal for this year so I won’t stop working on it until I’m pulling my ass up on that bar like I’m a feather 😂 😂 😂 😂. Finished the day with a bunch of knee PT #legraises and such! #sock mood of the day: aspire to be a #legend.
