Hi everyone! Today I'm showing you another absolutely stunning church in Stonehaven!
This is St James the Great Episcopal Church (more simply known as St James' Episcopal Church); it is located on Arbuthnott Street in Stonehaven's Old Town, not too far from the wee church I showed you yesterday (St Mary's RC Church)! St James' is part of the Scottish Episcopal Church, and more specifically, falls within the Diocese of Brechin! The present building dates from the 1870s, with construction beginning in September 1875; the nave then took two full years to complete, and the church was first opened for service on 1st October 1877! A chancel was not added until 1885!
