If your knees fall inwards when you squat it may well be that you need to strengthen your #abductors. These muscles help to push the leg out sideways (abduct) from the hips and stabilise the pelvis in side planks. I've shown 1-2 reps of each potential exercise that works them here (e.g. there are lots of examples here) and the side plank versions are advanced options. Whatever you choose your aim is to keep the pelvis stacked and steady (use deep #abdominals and #pelvic floor here), lift the leg from the hip (don't just bend your spine sideways) and don't sink into your supporting arm (push the ground away from you). Adding a resistance loop around the legs makes these even more challenging BUT only move onto a more challenging option when you have mastered the basics - #Pilates has no time for arrogance 😜 #themodelmethod #pilatespt

👉🏽 Switch Ups on bench: 3x20 (each)
👉🏽 DB Sumo Squats: 3x15-20, increasing weight. SS w/

Wide Mountain Climbers are THE BANE of my tight hip-afflicted LIFE, but they served a two-pronged purpose of getting your heart rate up while opening up those flexors. After completing six 30 second sets of these, I'm usually winded but loose - meaning, these are the perfect #LegDay anecdote (with a side of not-so-sneaky #corestability)! HOW: - Start by holding a plank on your hands. - Hop your right foot outside of your right hand. - Hop back into plank. - Hop your left foot outside of your left hand. - Hop back into plank. - Repeat!
This video depicts the intermediate level to perform this movement by adding a plank in between. To ADVANCE, skip hopping back into plank and perform continous wide mountain climber jumps. To MODIFY, regress the plyo element and instead of jumps, step your foot outside of your hand.
No matter what level you're performing these at, make sure you remain square and are using your core to power that jump, as opposed to shifting your body from side to side.

After 3 rest days, my body was so ready to be tested today. Booty is dead thanks to @gabbyschey 's abductor dropset from hell (5 reps on the heaviest weight you can do, then 5 on each weight lower without a break til u cant anymore) 😂😣 my legs were shaking at the end, it was so great! 🍑👌🌸 also done today: straight leg deads on cables, sumo squats on cables, curtsy lunges, leg press, and incline treadmill LISS.

#NeverMissAMonday! 💪 It's been SUCH a busy day (like 7pm-to-11pm-busy), but I managed to squeeze in about an hour at the gym. Crushed it on the #ARCtrainer, then got in some leg weight exercises, especially the #adductors and #abductors. I'm definitely still sore from all the weekend activity, but it felt good to get in there and show my muscles some love. Not sure if I'm seeing progress from a month ago or not, but I'm certain my feeling a bit better about myself.

FIRE HYDRANT EXTENSIONS & LIFTS - start on all 4's (hands under shoulders, knees under hips, spine in neutral), lift one leg out in your fire hydrant keeping the knee bent at that 90 degree angle, then add in a leg extension (challenging your core strength as well as your buns and thighs), then go into your lifts keeping the leg straight! 🍑🔥
