Besides the obvious core and glute work going on here, this move is one of my favorite scapular stabilization exercises to strengthen those gorgeous muscles below and to prevent "winging"! Honestly, when I saw this machine at the gym I first thought "ew what is this hip abductor machine" I always worked out my abductors on the cables or on the seated machine (bad girls), but honestly I learned to love this one it's become a favorite of mine.
