New Hope Rescue will partner with the public to help with her seizures. #LAILA #A1109450 at #Brooklyn ACC: Laila is a 13 year old Fox Terrier/Chihuahua mix who was surrendered by her owner due to personal problems. Owner adopted her from a shelter in Pennsylvania as a puppy. Laila has a history of seizures (owner had never brought her to a vet about this). Socialization:
Owner stated that Laila is #friendly around strangers but can be #shy at times. Laila has spent time around children ages 3-17 and owner stated that she is #playful and #relaxed when around them. Owner also stated that when playing with adults and children Laila is #gentle. Laila has not spent time with other dogs or cats. Her owner stated that when Laila sees other animals outside her will #bark and run toward them.
Owner states that when left alone Laila will #cry and bark at times. Owner stated that during fireworks, storms and loud noises Laila isn’t bothered. If someone touches her food or treats owner stated that Laila is #friendly. When it comes to her toys Laila will growl. Owner also stated that Laila isn’t bothered if she is restrained pushed off the couch or disturbed while sleeping. Laila isn’t bothered when bathed or brushed. When someone unfamiliar approaches her family member or yard Laila isn’t bothered.

Owner described Laila as a friendly #affectionate and #playful dog with a medium activity level. Laila’s favorite activities are playing #fetch with balls and tug with her rope. Owner stated Laila #loves tennis balls. Laila has been kept mostly #indoors and eats dry food. Laila is very much housed trained and never has #accidents. When left alone in the house she is very well behaved. Laila has never been crated. She knows the sit come stay and down commands.
