What rep ranges are best for your goals?

• If you’re goal is to build strength your reps should be in the 3-5 range. • If you are trying to put on muscle and stimulate growth 6-12 is the range for hypertrophy.
• If your goal is for more endurance and developing deep striations 12-15+. _
It is important to do a mixture of all styles of training, they each play a role in developing a great and functioning physique.

Remember your body gets used to the same things so don’t just repeat the same workout week after week, don’t be afraid to switch things up and shock your body.

Of all the hats I wear, coach is one of my favorites. I woke up early this morning to check in with my clients and team, plan my next accountability group, workout with my girls virtually and do a little personal development.

Then I worked my full time marketing job until 7pm. Got home in time to get a quick run in and jumped right into a coaching preview group to share my passion with those who are interested in joining my team. I didn’t eat dinner until 9:30pm and even though it was a hectic day, I’d do it all over again. When you do what you love it doesn’t feel like work. ❤️ I’m curious, what’s your dream job?

Today was rough.. Future Meagan, if you're reading this (which you will because your obsessed with progress pictures), stop looking at and comparing yourself to your competition 💯 Everyone's body responds differently to foods, workouts, situations, and I keep going back and forth about how to approach this last month to show day. I dont feel like I'm where I want to be and I can't figure out if it's just me being critical or if something needs to change - was the refeed a bad idea? Do i need more or less cardio? More or less carbs? I mean I probably just need to chill the fuck out (future Meagan take note), keep my head down and grind... But its hard, man. I'm sure tomorrow I'm gana be all "I feel great, prep is great", but it doesnt feel that way right now. I did an actual yoga class at the Y today, so I skipped today’s #YogaWithAdriene session 🙈 I’ll do Day 7 tomorrow (maybe, I’m planning on doing Zumba AND yoga at the Y tomorrow‼️ On too of actually biking there and getting my lift in)

So instead here’s a video from yesterday’s back day! Anyone who has followed me for a while knows I LOVE doing assisted pull-ups!

Yes, I can do pull-ups without the help, but I find it much more effective to use the assisted pull-up machine to take some weight off so I can do them nice and slow, keep the movements controlled, and increase the number of reps I’m doing

It’s also a great way to practice pull-ups if you can’t do them solo yet!
