The #Big5 at the streets of #Zanzibar #Tanzania rising voices against #Drugs & #Crime at one of the #WorldDrugsDay , I rem the theme this year was "Be Smart Don't Start" which for the record i was personerlly involved on the theme. As we rocked the day together as a team pushing our common agenda (DRUG FREE LIFE INAWEZEKANA KWA PAMOJA) as Drug Free Zanzibar with (DFZ) , Recovery Community Zanzibar (RCZ) , Drug Free Tanzania (DFT) , Detroit Sober House, Free At Last Sober Houses Zanzibar/Morogoro , PEDEREF (The House a of Wisdom Sober House, Pemba Sober Houses, Malaika Sober House, South Beach Sober House, together with UNODC, Government of Zanzibar Drug Control Department, private stakeholders , Schools, among many other (Drug/Substances Dependency Recovery/Rehabilitation efforts) in Tanzania and the community large.
These dudes are #YOUNGHEROS and they are doing noble efforts helping (PWDD) persons recover, stay clean, and find a new way of life (clean & sober) one day at a time .My experience since working with these projects since 2012-2016 was really transforming , am so humbled to have been part of these efforts day in day out working with from 2000-2500 (PWDD) across Tanzania, Oman, Kenya, SouthAfrica, Uganda, the Sober House program was established with my brother @suleiman1750 with the first client to undergo the program to be @mbarakjuned , and the program kept growing ever since from the first Sober House well know Detroit Sober House to over 30 Sober Houses across Tanzania to date, numbers of active PWDD has dropped significantly, number of HIV/AIDS and related complications has decreases among (IDUs), crime has gone down, poverty, illiteracy, broken families levels are improving among recovering PWDD and so much more. These noble projects deserves national & international recognition & supports. @umraomar once said “If we can, we must.."
