Sitting here trying to think of some inspirational quote to go along with this photo. 🚫Screw it! I’ll tell it to ya straight.

If you put crap into your body, you’re going to feel like crap. If you stop moving your body, you’re going to lose the ability to move. If you refuse to put your health first and make time for fitness and cleaner eating, you will find yourself tired, depressed, constantly getting sick, overweight, or worse, diseased. It’s sad and bold for me to say, but it’s true.

At 21, I was tired daily. I had no kids yet and didn’t even know the meaning of what tired was, but I was fueling my body with the wrong things (junk food, fast food, beer, soda, and cigarettes) so I was digging my grave a little deeper and deeper each day. My depression got worse and so did my skin, my hair, and body. I was feeling like a 50 year old stuck in a 21 year old’s body. I woke up one day and told myself that something had to give and fast.
You may be stuck in a rut feeling sorry for yourself-cut that shit out. Pick yourself up and treat yourself like you’re worth MORE. Because you are. Stop eating the foods that make you feel terrible. Start getting off of the couch and take that first step to making fitness a routine. You don’t regret it. Nobody every regretted a workout or clean meal. But it all starts with you. You’re the only person holding yourself back. Don’t blame your husband, your kids, or friends. Rise above!
You might have a long journey ahead of you. But I tell you what.. it’s gonna be a hella lot longer if you never get started!

Seated dumbbell curls 4 sets 10/10/8/6 increasing in weight. These sets happened to be at the end so the weight was a little little but got a really nice pump. -----------------------------------------------------

▪B O D Y▪"Ik vind je nu mooier dan toen je heel gespierd was"..."Wil je weer ZO worden?". Toen ik vorige week in een post zei, scroll maar eens wayyyy down naar beneden op mijn instafeed (om aan te geven dat ondanks dat ik nu lange haren heb er stiekem een klein jochie in mij schuilt), kreeg ik bovenstaande reacties. Door alles wat er in m'n leven gebeurd zijn de fitnessfoto's bijna geheel van mn feed verdwenen en lijkt het alsof ik er heull anders uitzie. De foto die je hier ziet is van vanmorgen #iwokeuplikethis 😋. Bovenstaande reacties gaan natuurlijk om het uiterlijk en ik begrijp 100% dat gespierde vrouwen niet mooi gevonden worden en ik neem daar dan ook geen aanstoot aan. Maar wat nu als dat helemaal niet het belangrijkste is, dat gespierde uiterlijk? Ik wil sterk zijn om als het moet mijn vrouw de trap op te tillen als ze verzwakt is van de chemo. Ik wil alle tassen en koffers tegelijk kunnen dragen zodat zij dat niet hoeft te doen. Ik wil en moet sterk zijn, zodat ze vol op mij kan leunen als het nodig is. Always looking ahead.

Today I am grateful. Grateful that I get the opportunity to share my passion for health and fitness with others on a daily basis. It is a grind, waking up at 4:30am every day, training clients, and finding time to keep up with my training. Most days, it's exhausting, but it's also incredibly rewarding. When I have a client tell me she feels beautiful in a dress for the first time in a long time, my heart fills with joy. When I help a client uncover a new found strength they didn't know they had, going from 1 pushup on their knees to 10 full pushups. When I see them push themselves, and to truly want to change their life for the better, I can't help but smile and love what I do. I'm in the business of helping people, and although my impact may be on the smaller scale (for now) getting to be a part of even 1 persons journey is not something I take for granted.
Today's workout was dedicated to my awesome clients, who would be happy to know I don't just make them sweat their butts off, I kick my own ass too. As always, reppin the best @celestialbodiez

🔴PESI VS CARDIO. MITI E REALTÀ. Da sempre queste due attività sono considerate contrastanti, MA É COSI? Dipende. Ovviamente se una persona cerca l'ipertrofia muscolare non può pretendere di correre una mezza maratona tre/quattro volte alla settimana, e viceversa( problema molto infrequente). Un'ora e mezza di cardio a settimana può fare solo che bene, senza andare ad intaccare la massa muscolare e mantenendo al contempo il cuore in salute( prendete in considerazione anche lui!!). Una domanda che si pongono in molti è: I PESI AIUTANO AL DIMAGRIMENTO O SOLO IL CARDIO? Al contrario di come la pensano molti la risposta è affermativa, i pesi fanno dimagrire, o almeno a parità di peso ti permettono di avere meno massa grassa. MA PERCHÉ? Praticamente l'attività con i pesi incrementa la massa muscolare( se fatta bene!!), la quale necessita di calorie per nutrirsi, anche a riposo!! Perciò più muscoli=più calorie da mangiare=metabolismo più elevato=meno probabilità di mettere grasso=dimagrimento. Per carità anche il cardio aiuta in questo senso, difatti il top sarebbe unire le due attività, con i dovuti accorgimenti, per non incorrere nel sovrallenamento. Quindi se vuoi costruire massa puoi fare cardio( senza esagerare) e se vuoi dimagrire e avere al contempo un fisico tonico, opta per l'allenamento con i pesi unito al cardio!! STAY TUNED.
