"What you believe about yourself, is how you will begin treating yourself".
~ Dr. Irinel Stanciu
personal story shared below.
Brain development begins very early on in the womb & the environments we grow up in have a huge impact on how our brains develop & ultimately, how we think later on. More particularly, what we think about ourselves.
Growing up, I had a family member who spoke a negative phrase to me fairly often. This was someone i loved with every ounce of my being. But when she became irritated or annoyed with me, her immediate reaction would be to tell me that I was "deaf, dumb, & blind". It didn't take long for a young little girl to believe those words as truth.
Please understand -- I'm not looking for a pity-party. I share this because I know I'm not the only one who has had hurtful words spoken to them. I know I'm not the only one who struggles with negative thoughts about themselves on the daily. And I know I'm not the only one who's ready to conquer this mountain.
Speak something positive to yourself today, friend. A mindset change doesn't happen on its own.
