Double tap if you love this quote too ❤ In times of change, uncertainty and confusion, these words bring me comfort. When we choose what makes us feel alive, we - along with those around us - are better off.
Side note: what makes us come alive is not always positive... anxiety, anger, sadness - all the yucky feelings - are part of being alive too.
For me, the key 🔑 is not overly pushing away or clinging to the negative or positive. It's about finding that space in between, where we feel connected to ourselves, others and omnipresence. That's what sets my soul on fire and makes me feel alive.🔥 How about you? #empowerista #HowardThurman

What she’s worth: It’s a well known fact that women in business get payed less than their male counterparts. The good news, that gap is narrowing. The bad news, we still have a ways to go. According to a study by the Pew Research Center, women on average make close to 80% of what men make for the same position. Now the reason for this may boil down to a few different factors, but keep in mind: there are only 22% of women in senior roles; 76% of people surveyed in the US think that men are better suited to careers; and women overwhelming take on childcare roles, having to choose children over careers. #letsdobetter #womeninbusiness @forbes #KindGoods 🌱#KindGoodsTribe

Tonight I spoke at Dress for Success' Professional Women's Group on #networking... .
Key 🔑 takeaway: be intentional.
Intentional about...
Being yourself
Your goals
Your presence
What you want to share
What you want to ask them
What you can do for them
Finding a common ground
Follow up
Our #intentions often determine our outcomes. ⭐
This isn't always natural for me. But when I've made it a priority, it's always paid off. 💕#Empowerista

#tbt When I was 16, I won a random drawing to have a #tennis lesson with @billiejeanking 🎾⚡️Needless to say, it’s been one of my coolest memories. Tennis used to be a big part of my life, but we all make sacrifices for other important endeavors. This week marks the anniversary of the famous "Battle of the Sexes" tennis match between Billie Jean King and Bobby Riggs, which is now the subject of a motion picture starring Emma Stone and Steve Carell. On September 20, 1973, 90 million people worldwide tuned in to the highly publicized event to witness King win over Riggs in straight sets in a best-of-five match. King's victory led to greater recognition and respect for women athletes. In this 1976 @newsday photo, Billie Jean King is seen during practice at the Roosevelt Field Tennis Club.
