I lost 5 pounds.
Over 2 weeks.
Some may say it's not a lot. But I choose to see it as a victory.
5 lbs isn't my weight loss goal, but it surely is a start. I believe it's only the beginning. The road ahead might get tough, but the journey will be worthwhile.
If you're waiting for those big numbers to come off before congratulaging yourself, it might take some time before you actually pat yourself on the back and tell yourself: "you're on the right track." And sometimes you might get too discouraged to say that, and end up giving up on that huge goal you had for yourself.
When it comes to goal setting, ain't nothing wrong with setting up big, yet realistic goals. Just make sure you break them down into smaller more attainable goals. And celebrate every milestones along the way!
It'll give you motivation to carry on. It'll boost your spirit up and help you thrive in the right direction.
And don't look left or right, unless to find inspiration... So that habit of scrolling down on IG profiles because "I want to be fit like this girl" is "ok" if you do it to find motivation. Just don't over do it. It could have the very opposite effect of discouraging you, instead of boosting you to accomplish more.
Try to be your own motivation. And like I said, celebrate YOUR achievements, just like I did with my 5 BIG pounds! Trust the process, keep positive and you'll have your own great story to share in the end!
