Nope this is not a dare or a bet. This is about something way more important.

In Kenya, 1/10 girls have no choice but to skip school as a result of their periods. In fact, many of them miss out on up to 25% of their education every month and even end up dropping out because they have no access to that one basic necessity. However, you can make a difference. There is currently a kickstart project with the aim of distributing a year's supply of pads to 300 kenyan girls. Every cent counts and if you're interested in playing a part, do check out the link in my bio.

Your efforts will go a long way in helping these girls live a better life. Thanks guys😊 #winghertoschool #kenyaaidtheflow

Those us living in Singapore really don't realise how good we have it. There are so many things going wrong in so many parts of the world. Sometimes i find myself thinking, what can i do from where i am? Not much right? And if you've ever thought the same, heres an opportunity to do something good for someone who needs it. . . . Girls in Kenya, Africa miss at least 1/4 of school when they get their periods because they do not have sufficient pads. (hence why i am pictured holding pads) My friend Angela, @itakebrunomars , while on internship in Kenya has started a project called #WingHerToSchool which will help provide a year supply of sanitary pads to about 300 girls. Shes raising funds and it would be amazing if you could help donate at https://chuffed.org/project/wing-her-to-school (links also in my bio). If you can't donate, share this with all your RICH friends and RICH uncles and aunties and yeah you get the gist. Also, another option would be to share this poster and information! Text me or dm me for the details! Have a great one everyone ❤️ and lets help 300 girls get the proper education they deserve. #KenyaAidTheFlow #WingHerToSchool

Girls in Kenya have no choice but to skip school whenever the red tsunami strikes as they are unable to afford sanitary products.
I have always admired people who are driven to help the less privileged and I am sharing a campaign by Angela, who is currently spending 5 months in Kenya to kickstart a project on distributing a year's supply of pads to 300 Kenyan schoolgirls or more!
I have been blessed with the opportunity to bless others and I hope when you read this, you will want to be a blessing too. All you need to do is visit @winghertoschool , click on the link and donate any amount you're comfortable with. (If you do not have the means to do so, just help to spread the word or get pad brands to sponsor them) #kenyaaidtheflow #WingHerToSchool

run out of pads? we immediately go to the nearest convenience store to get a few packets - wing, day, night or heavy flow ones, they are all there in abundance for us to choose. to us, this is something that we perhaps took for granted but to the kenyan girls, having a pad (not even a packet of pads) during their period is a luxury that they cannot afford

and because they cannot afford this basic necessity, the girls will have to miss school whenever the red light comes every month. can you imagine having to stay home for A WEEK every SINGLE month just because of something you cannot change or help? 😫

if you would like to help these girls in kenya stay in school DURING their periods (like us!!), please go to https://chuffed.org/project/wing-her-to-school or contact angela (@itakebrunomars) (@winghertoschool) to find out how you can make a difference in their lives! ☃️

on a side note, although the red light can be really frustrating at times, i’m immensely grateful to be able to go through it without having to worry about the lack of sanitary pads and it is disheartening to see a basic necessity become an unaffordable luxury for others 😔 please help donate and spread the word love yall ❤️

Hello friends! The "Wing her to school" has officially closed for donations.

I would like to express my sincerest gratitude to all those who believed and enabled us to reach out to more than our targeted amount of girls. We are now in the talks with more secondary schools to be able to channel the funds to more girls.

Stay tuned for the announcement of the schools, arrival and distribution of pads.

Girls in Kenya uses old mattress or chicken feature as their pad. Imagine how dirty those things are. It can cause infection ls because of how unhygienic these things are.
They have to put their health at risk to go to school. Why not help these girls to achieve both, be healthy and be able to attend school. You cam make a difference in 300 girl's life by donating $5, $25, $50, $100 or any amount lower higher or in between.

Girls in Kenya use chicken feathers and sometimes cow dung because they have no access to sanitary pads. They even stop going to school earlier because of this. We should be ever grateful for the comfort that we live in that our only concern is cramping.

My friend Angela who is interning in Kenya decided to come up with a solution to this problem. She has always been doing great things. And now she is going the extra mile and challenging the status quo.

Please show her your great support by sharing, liking, following and if you can, donating to this worthy cause.

School and Children of 3rd world country: "Wake up at 5.30am every morning and walk 12km (2hrs) to school and another 12km (2hrs) back home." If this could explain how much these children love school...
My trip to Africa and meeting the children is a transforming one. They spoke and shared their hopes and dreams. And their wish is simple. They want to live and lead a better life by studying hard and going to school. Having an education.
And it is disheartening to know that some children are forced to miss school because they can't afford sanitary pads during their monthly menstruation cycle. These schoolgirls yearn to learn and go to school like the boys.
I have a friend in Eldoret, Kenya who just started crowdfunding @winghertoschool to purchase sanitary pads that will supply and last them a year. I hope that you can join me in supporting this amazing campaign by donating or spreading my feed to more people as "we" make a difference to the girls in Eldoret, Kenya. Together. 🙂

With your little help, 300 schoolgirls in Kenya could attend school a little longer than they would have. With your little help, you can turn their "Can'ts" into "Cans" and give them a little more chance to chase their dreams into plans. You can go to link: Http://chuffed.org/project/wing-her-to-school to find out more! ❤️ Thank you very much! 🙆🏻 #winghertoschool #kenyaaidtheflow

I've got a trusted friend in Kenya doing really great work now. It is something that she refuse to allow to carry on.
That is the education that every child gets and basic female hygiene products. These children do not have proper female hygiene products and they actually use chicken feathers. Can you imagine that!? What this project does is to raise funds to buy pads for them being sufficient for 1 year while looking at a sustainable plan in the future. "I am only one; but still i am one. I cannot do everything but still i can do something. I will not refuse to do something I can do." -Edward Everett Hale.

You can support this project through the crowdfunding link in my bio! That is the one thing that we can do as individuals 😊

Cheering for you @itakebrunomars

Yes that's a pad!! Waking up in the morning in the middle of a red sea is definitely not fun. And feeling like someone just punched yr stomach while your uterus is self-destructing is not fun either. But you know what's worse? Having to miss almost 1/4 of the school year because you can't afford to stain your uniform because you CAN'T AFFORD TO BUY A SINGLE PAD.
Girls in Kenya use chicken feathers and old scraps of cloth instead of pads because their families have no choice but to place food as their first priority. As a result, these girls miss out on their precious education as they skip school every month due to infections and the fear of soiling their uniforms.
Fear not, for YOU can make a difference today. A fellow Singaporean @itakebrunomars is currently running a project to provide 300 girls in Kenya with a year's supply of sanitary pads. Simply visit this page @winghertoschool and click the link in the bio to donate any amount to this worthy cause. You can also find out more on their website! Your simple gesture will make a huge difference in their lives! Thank you if you bothered reading this far, and share this love with your friends and family too! 😚💕 #KenyaAidTheFlow #WingHerToSchool
#LetsDoOurPartToday

The time of the month shouldn’t mean missing school.
The positive impact of educating girls is no secret, and yet girls are still missing school due to completely preventable reasons.
It's a fact, girls get periods. However, menstruation shouldn’t result in absences, and girls shouldn’t miss out on education.
It’s extremely unfortunate that despite the advances in the world, girls in Kenya are still unable to attend school for a few days each month because of their menstrual cycle. It’s heartbreaking to hear that they are still deprived of access to sanitary pads and corresponding reproductive health education.
//
Young girls and women should have access to sanitary products, accurate information regarding their own menstrual health, and should no longer feel shame or stigma when menstruating.
//
I wish that you would join my friend, Angela Carol @itakebrunomars (Initiator of Campaign) and I in this movement to ensure that girls are more educated and understand that having periods is not a crime/punishment but a normal thing.
How can YOU help?
1. Donate here (link in bio) https://chuffed.org/project/wing-her-to-school to allow 300 girls in Kenya to stay in school a little longer than they would have
2. Post a photo of the campaign poster and spread it around for awareness (you can include a picture of yourselves with sanitary pads) and hashtag #KenyaAidTheFlow & #WingHerToSchool
Start making a real difference peeps!
