IF YOU PERCEIVED FAILURE AS FEEDBACK WHAT WOULD YOU ATTEMPT?
🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔 Fear of FAILURE seems to be the catch cry for many females..... I fear that what I aim for I wont achieve. I fear i wont achieve it because Im not enough - good enough, smart enough, skilled enough.... and the list goes on. And thus perfectionism, procrastinstion, and overwhelm are born😣
If this is something you can relate to then I'd like to ask "What does failure look like to you?" and if we define failure then we must define SUCCESS. "What does SUCCESS look like to you?" How do you know you have failed and how do you know you have suceeded? What benchmarks do you have for these?
Only recently has it occured to me that i have never really held a clear definition for these so therefore how do I know if I have failed before and what successes have i missed celebrating? It seems kinda odd to have a fear of something that you cannot see, hear, touch or even feel because you havent defined what it actually is?! 🤗What if failure was viewed as feedback on how to improve your processes for next time. 🤔What if failure was just another learning method. Instead of enrolling in school or a course you just attempted to do something and it worked out differently to what you assumed would happen 😄Is failure not just an elaborate real life science experiment then?
I relate this to the concept of SINK OR SWIM. Just by jumping in the deep end you will either, learn to swim, which may be highly unglamorous to start with but will you find your groove, OR you sink because you have done NOTHING, litterally no movement has occurred and you sink to the bottom.
SO..... perhaps the secret is in the DOING. The simple act of taking one step, making one decision, creating one fb post, to get the ball rolling and the feedback will guide you to the next step😘
