It's cliche, but true what they say about having kids - that it's like having your heart walking around outside your body.
This morning when I went to wake them up, I took an extra minute to look at their peaceful faces, remind myself to use my patience and start everyone out on the right foot for the day ahead. I told myself that soon they won't need that special blankie or request they're favourite teddy (huggy bear and koala) Soon, they won't want me to carry them to the couch to wake up or snuggle with them for just a minute to ease into the day.
To my happy surprise they woke up cheerful, which isn't usually the case. 😜 #wearenotmorningpeople We had a great chat over breakfast and everyone parted ways with I love you's and have a great day.
They get most of the credit here, but it goes to show that even though we can only control ourselves, we can have a great impact on others and lead the way.
Love these little monsters for always guiding me as a mother and keeping me on my toes along the way.
